They are removed from the everyday stresses and mediate a sense of serenity and calm. Their presence reminds one of an archaeological find, archaic figures from the most diverse continents and cultures. Their titles cite Gods of the antique, African tribes of Kingdoms past and Buddhist deities.

The works which provide the most artistic freedom,Martin Wiese has decided to name Fragments.
Fragmented stone bodies come to life in the contrast of the raw unfinished elements, whose sharp edges remind us of the quarry origins, and the perfectly sculpted faces. The closed eyes of the figures engross the observer and suggest their meditative nature (inner exploration). Quarry stones then unify and complete the fragmented bodies into a coherent whole.
